Student Exercises
· Appendix II has three complex case-type scenarios that may be discussed in class or written about. Their complexity often demands some research to formulate solutions or answers to questions posed, so these cases are more ideally suited as writing assignments.
· Appendix II also contains a dramatic script that provides an opportunity for students to role play a scenario about authorship in science. It is designed for use with anywhere from a few to 11 students. Students are given scripted lines to recite and then must use ad lib presentation to make their case for (or against) authorship on a proposed manuscript.
